Land of the Midnight Sun

There’s something about the Canadian Arctic/Sub-Arctic that has kept me coming back over the past forty years. Maybe it’s the long hours of daylight and the time to soak up the landscape. Maybe it’s the quiet solitude of a vast landscape that has endless horizons. Maybe it’s the rich variety of untamed wilderness and the fauna that roam free. Maybe, just maybe it’s the sense that we all came from the land and that we are somehow reconnected with our ancient pasts. Whatever it is I find Canada’s Arctic a place of wonder and awe. I love the Arctic and it’s people. It’s been my privilege to explore East to West the many river corridors, open spaces, hidden valleys, and the raw power and majesty of its mountains. It draws me like a magnet unlike any other landscape I’ve ever experienced; it will forever be a part of my soul.
